I do my own acrylic nails and stuff (and toenail nail art with acrylic resin glues), and I need to find something to remove them more efficiently – especially something to remove nailpolish with glitter embedded in it.
Usually I use the “pure” acetone from NSI, however, someone told me that it’s actually the same stuff you can buy in big 1ltr cans from DIY and home improvement stores (just bottled instead and with a higher price tag) – just wondering if it is, or is there any particular difference. Perhaps a nail tech can answer for me.
I know it’s dangerous stuff (I wear a mask when I use mine), but the nail designs I do on my natural nails never come off with the nail-polish removers from stores – they’re not as strong.
Advice?
According to my bottle from NSI it just lists “100% pure acetone” as the ingredients. As for the other stuff, they say 98.5% which would be close enough I guess?
I have tried soaking the nails and holding the wipe down soaked with the stuff before wiping but it can still be pretty tricky getting it off. It’s just also quicker with pure acetone than generic crappy stuff from the store.
