How do I build my own outdoor shed…step by step? What is the easiest way with the supplies I already have.?

I have a grip of aluminum siding…and I have an aluminum shed sitting out in the yard on pallets. I want to tear it down and move it…and of course make it bigger. I was hoping to make it with a cement base. But I have no experience in construction. I wish it to be 12′x15′ or a bit bigger. What do I do first, second and so forth. I would like it to have a couple of windows, a locking door and a built in countertop along one edge. I went to home depot and no way can I afford to have them come set one of theirs up for $1500.00! There is alot of construction going on where I live and the foreman of a few crews are willing to let me take their scraps of wood beams, drywall and other stuff for the project. Can a woman who’s never done this before really accomplish this? Is there a place I can go online to figure it out? Please help…I’m doing it for my mother, and it will be full of all sorts of stuff that I’m hoping will still be accessable and easy to get to. Thanks all! :)

Can I claim the first-time homebuyer’s tax credit AFTER I’ve already filed?

I did my taxes on-line last night at HRBlock.com. I qualified for the first-time homebuyer’s tax credit for $5600. It is not really a credit but an interest-free loan, which I would have to repay over the next 15 years for about $375 a year. And if I move out before it’s paid off, the whole thing would be due immediately. I freaked out at incurring another debt and filed my taxes without claiming it. However, after I’ve thought about it, I’d be foolish not to take advantage of it and make some home improvements. Even if I move before it’s paid off, the home improvements I make with it should raise the price of my home so I can pay the loan off.

Long story short, can I claim it now even though I already filed my taxes? I have an hour of free consulting with an H&R Block representative, which is how I’m assuming I’d have to ammend it.
