Which one of these Anti-Virus Software should I use? (10/30/10)?

I don’t want you to recommend any other anti-viruses, I know them all, and what they’re capable of. I’m only interested in these.

Avast (Free Version)
Avira (Free Version)
Comodo Internet Security (100% Free)
Microsoft Security Essentials (100% Free)

I know that Comodo Anti-virus has an amazing firewall, with defense + and sandbox technology, and that their anti-virus is built in with spyware, malware and critical area scanning. It also has very good real-time protection, and it’s almost impossible for a virus to get passed it’s HIPS system. If it gets passed the antivirus real-time protection, defense + will still pop up, and if it get’s passed that, then the sandbox will isolate it. The firewall will also stop it from connecting to the internet. Since comodo inc creates SSL certificates as well, the firewall is amazing at detecting legit company’s, and unknown application. So if you don’t want it to pop up on every single application you open, then use it’s safe mode setting and it’ll automatically recognize safe files. It will still sandbox files it doesn’t know of though, automatically and look them up online with it’s HIPS to make sure it’s 100% Safe. I heard Comodo is missing a lot of the older virus definitions because, but the scanner is used on virustotal.com. I’m sure the scanner is very good, just not so sure.

Microsoft Security Essentials is supposedly the new anti-virus solution, with real time scanning and advanced virus database and HIPS. It’s 100% free if you have genuine windows package. But Microsoft is the #1 target of hackers and virus creators, so I don’t know how reliable this program will be, eventually a weakness might be discovered. But besides that, it’s interface is user-friendly, and I am impressed at the real-time scanning detection rate. Compared to Comodo, comodo is new in the anti-virus software industry, and microsoft is the creator of the windows OS so they have an up at that. I just need to know if this program really is the best out of these 4. I’m not too sure about it’s scanner detection rate.

Avast is very popular with people, and has a decent real-time protect module. But I know of viruses that got by, even after avast supposedly blocks it. I heard the free version has anti spy-ware and email protection as well, but I honestly don’t know much about avast at all, besides the point that it needs to work on it’s real-time protection and detection rate on the scanner, in my opinion. Besides what I think though, I want to hear everyone else opinion about this program, if you use it. Has it improved? Is it the best protection out of these 4 programs? I also heard that it’s compatible with Microsoft Security Essentials, but I need someone that is 100% sure of this, because that will immediately make me switch to it.

Avira Is what I’ve been using the last few years, It’s detection rate is outstanding compared to all of these programs, but I’m not so sure if the free version has real-time protection, I know it has a Guard, which I assume is the real-time. I also know the free version doesn’t come with anti spy-ware or drive-by protection. But the detection rate on the scanner still wipes the floor with these programs, but I need the best PREVENTION anti-virus that still has a great scanner detection rate. Besides the point, Avira has made me proud these last years of using it’s free version, but I need to know the best free protection.

In your opinion, out of these 4 programs (Don’t want any answers about other anti-virus solutions, especially norton, mcafee or AVG) I want to know which one, in your experience is the best. I still can’t decide if Microsoft Security Essentials is better than Avira at prevention. Or If Comodo internet security is better at prevention than Avast (Since I have no experience with Avast whatsoever) but I assume Comodo wipes the floor with it.

I will frequently check for answers, and choose the best one myself instantly. Thank you for your time in reading this, and your opinions.
