I have been working for a national home improvement company for a little over a year. I am a 52 yr old female, I am trying to move up in the company, but am not succeeding. I go above and beyond the askings of the store management. From about 3 months into my employment in this store, I have been told that I would be moving up. I’ve had the money carrot dangled in front of my nose with no action being taken. Even the store manager has told me that he would rather to come to me to get a project done, knowing that I would do it. How do I go about getting the attention of management and moving up? I have talked with management but have a feeling that this conversation fell on deaf ears.
