Marvin & Ruth around the world on a Catamaran.

We are both Americans though Ruth was born in the UK. Have been sailing on ‘Two can Tango’ reached Kochi from Malaysia, that took 11 days approx 15oo miles, will sail next to Sallalah which is another 1500 miles to Oman then to thru the dangerous Aden, then to the red sea, from there to Turkey, The sail in the gulf of Mannar, that is between the southern most tip of India and Sri Lanka was very very rough, Winds were up to 35 knots and we were unable to manoeuvre using the steering stations for about two days hence we could use just the Auto pilot. The Auto Pilot can handle the boat better than humans so when I am on the watch I just want to notice around to make sure that we don’t run into other vessels. Its very important to keep watch in the night as if any thing has to be done its very difficult to do things alone as if you are swept away then you are gone as the boat will just keep going, it will not stop for you. We were sailing across the Atlantic, we experienced a Meteor shower that lasted several nights. It was just spectacular to watch fireworks in the sky. sailing thru the Panama is also a wonderful experience as there is so much of history behind it. We are looking forward to sail thru the Suez this time. This is a French built Catamaran hence this boat will not sink. We get the entire electricity via the 8 solar panels which is really great. I am terribly not happy with the big vessels dumping their ballast here in the port, In places elsewhere the port
