Special Ed and Regular Ed teachers, can you help out an Elementary and Special Ed Major?
For my Inclusive Education class I have to interview Special Ed Teachers and Regular Ed teachers about a few different topics. I have emailed teachers from the middle school I went to and haven’t received any replies and I am desperate. Please, if you get the chance, answer these questions for me. It will be greatly appreciated!!!! I am in Philadelphia and I feel like I have nowhere to turn for this project. I really thought the teachers from my home town would be a little more helpful. This and a few other activities are basically my grade. I am a first year Senior Elementary and Special Ed Major and I can’t wait to graduate.
1. What are your thoughts and feelings about Inclusive Education?
2. What aspects do you find stressful about your position?
3. What do you find the most rewarding about your position?
4. Where do you see the field of Special Education heading? (With technological advances for people with physical disabilities, more options for people with learning disabilities and it being more widely accepted), Inclusion being seen in more schools.
5. Have any noticeable improvements taken place in your district during your time teaching? (In terms of policy or practice)
6. What do you hope to see in the future within the Special Education field (in your district and elsewhere)?
