Will Enlarging my back yard inrease home’s value?
I have a giant driveway that extends past the side of my house and into the backyard. We have a fence separating the side of the driveway and the yard that I need to replace and I am thinking about ripping out the back of the driveway (about 16 feet long by 30 feet wide) and putting the fence the other direction (behind the driveway) so our back yard will be a lot bigger and we will have a smaller driveway.
Will this increase my home’s value? Does a bigger back yard or a bigger driveway give more value to a house? We have a 3 car garage and the driveway will still be a good size so to mee that extra 16 ft seemed like wasted space. Our yard wasn’t all that big before and this will open it up to allow us to play catch, put up a play set, etc.
