If I have little Credit and can’t get a credit card or financing, how am i expected to build credit?
I have very little credit, I had 3 credit Cards, paid on time, they were small credit limits 500 bucks, and I cancelled them soon as they were paid, I, being a smart American in this new age of responsibility did not want to get into credit card problems, I have a student loan on my credit report which I had about 6 missed payments but am about to Pay off within the next month and I rent, I’m 25, and have been working at my job for 5 years and make 59,000 a year and I own a used car which i paid for in full. Because of this my credit score is NILL, very low and I can’t really borrow anything or do anything to build my credit…I’m offered credit cards still with limits of 500-800 dollars which is pretty useless. I wont finance a 10,000 JAP SCREEN TV just to build my credit, that goes against this new era of responsibility i wont live beyond my means, I would like to simply borrow 10-15,000 dollars for personal use, maybe put a downpayment on a new car, do some home improvement and invest about 2,000 of that. Paying back on a substantial amount like that would certainly improve and build my credit but none of these Disgusting pig banks will give me a loan, I would even be willing to live with a 9 to 12% interest rate on my loan, I am a hardworking american, not one of these deadbeats who is getting their home foreclosed, I live up to my means, living in a big city it is expensive, it’s hard to save, I save usually about 1,500 a year, but that doesn’t give me immediate flexibility to make some purchases or improvement like a loan would….so finally, what should I do and why does the government let theiving institutions take advantage of its citizens, is there a lender who would give a young guy a loan and help him build his damn credit, if not, is there anyone on here reading this who may be “well to do” would be willing to give me a loan or maybe a grant(gift) something you can write off in the taxes, if so please email me, otherwise all other suggestions are welcomed.
also I forgot to mention, I have attempted to take out some small personal loans of 5,200.00, I attempted at 9 different banks and 5 different credit unions and was turned down at all of them
boy so far these answers arent helpful, dont cancel credit cards? are you even an American McMurphy, Credit Cards are the reason why terrorist attack the west, we are a greedy culture who live beyond our means, I dont, i’m a good american, I can’t save because gas is back up to 3$ a gallon, Renting an apartment is 2200 a month, to have a phone it cost 100$, saving is impossible, have you seen we are in a depression??? the problem isn’t me, it’s the Government, i need better answers, i’m looking more a long the lines of how to get a loan…..sell my body? rob a bank? those have been the answers i been getting and so far the only ones that make sense, i need 15,000 dollars right now…how can i get it? answers are NEEDED, time is of the essence
