Xantrex – Kyocera 6KW Solar PV Ground mount tiltable array in Fort Worth Tx. Pt 1

6KW – 30 Kyocera KD205GX-LP 205watt solar panels ground mounted with Unirac low profile tilt legs. 2 arrays of 15 panels each rated at 3KW each. Xantrex XW-6048 Grid tied battery backed solar system. Midnite solar disconnects and E-Panel. 48VDC Marine battery banks. I self installed this system on our new home in Fort Worth Tx. in the spring of 2009. Ground mounting was the best choice since our roof is pitched at 45′ and not facing south. Ground mounting is secured with 12″wide 24″ deep concrete beams with #4 #5 rebar. All Unirac supports are spaced at a max of 40″ apart and secured into the concrete with 8″ j-bolts. Both arrays are tilted 4 times a year from winter angle of 45′ down to 22′ in the summer.

What can I do to plant rose bushes in an area where the water table is close to the ground surface?

I want to plant some rose bushes in my yard however; I know at least six inches of soil is recommended for planting any type of vegetation. My problem however, is I live in an area where the water table is very close to the ground and, sand is the predominant surface which leaves little to know soil on the ground. Any tips on how I can successfully landscape my yard with vegetation besides sand tolerant grass?
