What would happen if you build a shed and don’t get a permit?
We live in Florida, what would happen if we built a shed and didn’t take the steps to get a permit for it?
I should add that it is going to be a block shed on a concrete slab and it is going to be 14′x14′. I just want to know what would happen if we don’t get the permit because we sort of started already before we knew we needed a permit.
We have no homeowners association.
we don’t live in a subdivision and we have 2 acres so there is no way the shed is too big. And we have no neighbors close by. I still haven’t gotten a good answer of what they would do if you had a shed built without a permit, would you get a fine? How much? Would you really have to tear it down? What would happen when you go to sell the house?
